About the Côte d'Azur, a resort loved by many artists, and "synesthesia," where sounds appear colored.
1. The Côte d'Azur Loved by Artists ~ The Healing Power of Scenic Beauty

If you'll excuse a personal anecdote, I have a memory of a clear blue autumn sky with crisp air.
It was when I visited the Côte d'Azur in Nice, a city in southern France.
Beautiful Scenery that Healed the Hearts of Artists

The Côte d'Azur is famous as a scenic resort.
With the sun shining brightly high in the sky, the sea sparkling, and listening to the sound of the waves, spending time on the beach is fantastic!
The sky in Paris is often cloudy with light rain, making one feel melancholic.
On the other hand, if you move a little from Paris to the Côte d'Azur International Airport, you can enjoy such wonderful nature.
Climate and weather greatly influence creative inspiration.
Actually staying there, I understood why many artists would want to come here.
They must have created wonderful works that would go down in history.

Numerous hotels line the coast, where an international conference was held.
In Europe, many tourists flock to the region for summer holidays.
It is said that the average temperature drops by 7 degrees Celsius in the week transitioning from late summer to early autumn.
Therefore, I heard that they were able to plan a gathering of several thousand people at that time because hotel rooms became available.
I was surprised when I received the program!
It was as thick as a phone book, and the cover read the Ninth International Congress of Endocrinology, NICE.
They cleverly incorporated the name of the host city, NICE.
It's quite stylish and nice!
2. Chagall's "Blue," the Magician of Color ~ The Color of All-Encompassing Compassion

Did you know there's a world-famous museum in Nice? It's the National Marc Chagall Museum (Musée national Marc Chagall).
Chagall was called a magician of color, and his characteristic blue, "Chagall Blue," is famous.
It's a mystical and striking blue-indigo color, and against the backdrop of social turmoil of the time, it evokes a deep compassion that encompasses all the joys, sorrows, and pains of life.
The museum also features beautiful stained glass, and its subtle blue hues were very impressive.

Now, a little explanation about the French Côte d'Azur.
Côte means "coast," d' means "of," and Azur means "azure, blue."
In other words, in Japanese, it has been called the "Azure Coast" (konpeki kaigan).
A similar word is the country name in Africa, Côte d'Ivoire, which means "Ivory Coast."
3. Synesthesia ~ Music Brings a Variety of Colors

Humans are endowed with five senses: hearing, sight, smell, taste, and touch.
These senses overlap, and hearing certain music may lead to seeing specific colors, or seeing certain scenery may lead to hearing music.
This is called "Synesthesia," and various patterns exist.
French poet Rimbaud (1854-1891), known as a child prodigy, had synesthesia.
According to his famous masterpiece "Vowels" (1871), when he heard the pronunciation of A, E, I, O, U, colors appeared before his eyes.
A was black, E white, I red, U green, and O blue, and he called out, "Vowels, I shall tell your hidden births."

Rimbaud, known as a child prodigy and possessing a refined sensibility, also experienced various hardships.
On the other hand, fortunately, our abilities are within the normal range, so we can enjoy our daily lives.
From the website below, please enjoy 4K videos that evoke autumn and pleasant music.
Experiencing the spectacular scenery of the season with your eyes and ears will help you relax. A healthy mind will lead to better sleep.
I hope that your mind and body will not be in a state of depression (feeling blue), but rather active during the day and peaceful at night.
