From classic carols like "Silent Night" and "Joy to the World" to beloved Christmas songs from Japan and abroad, such as "All I Want for Christmas Is You" (Mariah Carey) and "Christmas Eve" (Tatsuro Yamashita), this album offers splendid covers performed on harp and violin.
This is a healing work for the holy night, brought to you by harpist Sayaka Shimizu, who performs solo, in ensembles, and with orchestras across Japan, and violinist Riyoko Matsui, who performs as part of "Chisako Takashima's 12 Violinists" and has appeared on numerous TV and radio programs.

Harp: Sayaka Shimizu
Began playing the harp at age 4. Graduated from Toho Gakuen School of Music, Music High School, and Toho Gakuen College of Music. Studied under Atsuko Sato, Mari Kimura, and Josef Molnar. In 2004, she performed as a soloist at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan with volunteers from Toho Gakuen College of Music under the direction of Chikara Iwamura. In 2005, she held her first recital at Donin Christ Church. She also performs across Japan in solo, ensemble, and orchestral settings. Since 2013, she has served as an instructor at the Karuizawa Music Summer Course.
