Chairperson of the Japan Primary Care Association Conference (2017).
Editor-in-Chief of 4 international English medical journals (2024). Author of over 30 books, over 2,000 publications, and over 500 English papers. Tokushima representative of the "Shin-Rojin-no-Kai" (New Elders Association).
