Makura no Kitamura Gymnast Mini Portable Pillow

A portable pillow created in collaboration with Chukyo University through industry-academia partnership.
We collaborated with the university to jointly develop this product, focusing on comfort, compact design, and cleanliness. With the passion and flexible ideas of students and Kitamura's perspective as a manufacturer, we researched the optimal shape, material, and size for a portable pillow. The result is the Gymnast Mini.

[Elements required for a portable pillow]
The so-called neck pillow is used in vehicles and offices. Broadly speaking, there are urethane types and air types. Urethane types are large and not very portable, while air types lack breathability and are uncomfortable to use. Each has its disadvantages. We have eliminated these disadvantages and created a portable pillow that is easy to carry and use. We highly recommend it for outings, work, or as a gift.

[The size of one PET bottle]
The approximate size of the Gymnast Mini was determined, and development began, based on the enthusiastic street survey results from students who found that "everyone's bag has space for one PET bottle." This is a compact pillow that is convenient to carry.

[Carefully selected materials]
The surface fabric is a double raschel three-dimensional mesh material. It is elastic and highly breathable, preventing stuffiness. The back is made of rubber material, which functions as a non-slip surface, providing high stability.
The filling is elastomer pipe, also used in the Gymnast. Its springy feel fits the body, providing an unprecedented level of comfort.
